True Blood: Nora Gainsborough and Terry Bellefleur Murdered (S6-EP67)

By: Amber Thompson

First of all, Sarah Newlin just cannot GET an creepier. I’m less worried about Lilith than I am that little bitch. If her continued presence on the show wasn’t such a miserable notion, I’d say she deserves to be bitten and turned, but…I hate the idea of MORE Sarah Newlin. The vampire version can only be worse – can you imagine her chirping “God is good!” with that maniacal gleam in her eye and a ring of blood around her mouth? NO. Forget I even mentioned it.

As for Nora: I was disappointed that she died. I would have liked to learn more about her, I thought she was intriguing. That said, the idea of a rage-filled, vengeful Eric is highly appealing. Let the heads roll! Especially Willa’s, because so far she hasn’t done anything but steal Pam’s valuable screen time.

Speaking of Pam, I know she was only manipulating the gross, excitable doctor to do what she wanted but STILL. Nobody needed to see – or hear – that.

Jessica is horny, okay? She’s a newbie vampire locked up under threat of death and wanted to get some. Jason would have been the obvious choice but she’s been trying not to lead him on, so…James, the sex-study vampire. I hope he isn’t sticking around as a significant character, nice or not.

Jason: You are very pretty to look at, but had no chance in hell of out-witting Sarah Newlin. Goodluck in G-Pop with the hungry female vampires.

Terry’s death didn’t matter to me. (Harsh, I know.) He has always been a minor character, and half the time Arlene is judgmental and self-righteous. While it seemed like the writers were striving for my tears all they got was my indifference. Of course, with the discovery of the life insurance and everyone realizing that Terry planned to die, we will likely see a lot more of Arlene.

I almost forgot about Sookie and Warlow. Is it bad when you ALMOST FORGET about the main character – or the intended main character – of a series? Sookie and Warlow had a very brief post-coital moment in which she tells him he shouldn’t expect anything just because they had sex. Remember when Sookie was romantic and southern and wanted to find a nice boy to settle down with? Well, that’s over. Now a not-so-evil vampire-faerie hybrid wants to take her away from all her troubles, but she’d rather comfort Arlene and aim dirty looks in Bill’s direction. MAKE UP YOUR MIND, SOOKIE.

Come back for what will surely be uncensored arguments between myself and Cheri and potential commentors. Have a great week!
