It's true that every week I question who Red is, where he came from, and HOW he knows Liz. Every single week. I try to put the pieces together, but I just end up confusing myself. I'm usually good at analyzing plot, as well as guessing correctly what happens next, but the Blacklist is one of the only shows that has me stumped. I keep asking more questions instead of getting more answers. To me, this means that it is a very good show; it makes me want to watch more of it!

Totally agree…. and 2 of the other writers for The TV Times also watch The Blacklist, so once all 3 of us have seen the episodes & I’ve posted my articles, we’ll discuss the show to, like, the most minute detail possible.  And of course, nothing gets SOLVED during these conversations, they actually only make it worse when one of us with bring up a great point or question that we hadn’t thought of yet.  I will say this though, while we all agree that we hate Ressler and that Spader is a fucking GENIUS in this role, my other 2 cohorts think Reddington is Lizzie’s father.  Personally, I think the show’s writers have attempted a little TOO hard to get us to believe this.  For a show that is so brilliantly written in every way, it just seems like it’s not something they would make so obvious, ya know?  If he really was her dad, I would think that the writers would have us thinking everything BUT that so they could then BAMBOOZLE us in the season finale with paternity tests on Maury or some shit….

Also, the show only gets better & better each week and I can’t even fathom how it will be possible to continue to do so when it’s already so epically awesome.  Reddington is so geniusly written, but it’s Spader’s execution of those lines that make RR who he is.  I am completely serious that he deserves the Emmy in 2014 for Best Actor in a Drama.

Of course, with Breaking Bad being done now, it will probably go to Cranston.  I don’t watch BB to know if this is justified or not but I do know that it would be if Spader gets it.  And I’m a pretty hardcore Alexander Skarsgard/True Blood fan, too, so this says a lot about my love for all things Spader…  ;)

Have a tutti fuckin frutti day,
