Kyle’s NFL Week 12 Picks

Week 11 record

10-5

Season record

78-51 ( I started picks in week 3)

So I got back in the positive column last week.  Pittsburgh made me happy by beating Detroit, or should I say Detroit made me happy by beating Detroit.  The Giants came through and beat Green Bay, and the Bears won a sloppy, weather delayed game, so all in all it was a good week.  Seattle has a bye this week, so I’m happy I don’t have to see Pete Carroll chomping his gum cheering like a 7th grader.  Since I don’t have a Seattle prediction this week, I had to lead into my Pete Carroll meme for the week.

Here’s my picks for Week 12!

New Orleans at Atlanta

If anyone can give me one good reason to pick Atlanta here I’d consider it.  Then I’d tell you why I think you’re hilarious and pick New Orleans anyway.

Pick:  Saints

Pittsburgh at Cleveland

I don’t know why, but I think Cleveland might pull this one out.  Pittsburgh is playing better ball as of late, but Cleveland seems ready to win another one, and they’re in the Dawg Pound.

Pick: Browns

Tampa Bay at Detroit

It worked for me last week, so I’ll do it again.  Fuck you Detroit.  Fuck you Jim Schwartz.  I’m picking the Bucs for the sole reason that I hate Detroit.  Like, a LOT.

Pick: Bucs

Minnesota at Green Bay

I wonder if Scott Tolzien can go winless in his stint while Aaron Rodgers is out.  Then I remember that the Packers do have Minnesota….at home….and Minnesota’s starting quarterback doesn’t even know who Minnesota’s starting quarterback is.  Ugh, I hate to do this….

Pick: Packers

San Diego at Kansas City

Yeah, I can’t trust Phillip Rivers against KC at KC with the defense the Chiefs have.

Pick: Chiefs

Chicago at St. Louis

Who will the Bears get? The Rams team that beat Indianapolis by 30 points, or the Rams team that has looked like they have in every other game this season?  I’m thinking the latter.

Pick: Bears

Carolina at Miami

Carolina is on an absolute tear.  Winners of 6 in a row, they have been one of the surprise teams this year and the Panthers unexpectedly control their own playoff destiny.  For some reason, I can’t even say why, this is my Upset Pick of the Week.

Pick: Dolphins

New York Jets at Baltimore

Both teams are coming off disappointing losses, but I think the Jets loss pissed them off more than Baltimore.

Pick: Jets

Jacksonville at Houston

Who would have thought that if Jacksonville wins this game they’d have the same record as the Texans?  I have a feeling Wade Phillips doesn’t let that happen.  If the Texans lose this game it might actually kill Gary Kubiak.

Pick: Texans

Tennessee at Oakland

Can Matt McGloin keep the thunder rolling into a matchup against the Titans?  Well Ryan Fitzpatrick is back at the helm for Tennessee so they might as well mail in the season.

Pick: Raiders

Indianapolis at Arizona

Bruce Arians coaches against his old team, Arizona is coming off a game in which they actually looked like a good team, but Andrew Luck coming to town.  Yeah…..

Pick: Colts

Dallas at New York Giants

The Giants have won 4 in a row, and are trying to salvage the season.  Dallas is hanging at .500 and wanting to make a push towards the playoffs coming off the bye.

Pick: Cowboys

Denver at New England

Peyton has been banged up, and Tom Brady is going to be on a mission after getting pudwhacked by the refs last week.  Let’s hope they get better this week.

Pick: Patriots

San Francisco at Washington

I’m not going to suckered into picking Washington again.  They suck.  And Jim Harbaugh is on a mission this week.

Pick: 49ers

Bye Week: Buffalo, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Seattle
