For an episode that felt a bit slow at times, it had quite a few wtf moments for me, I’m wondering why and how I didn’t like it more. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy it, but I’m a die hard AHS fan, been since the first season premiere, and this episode was nothing compared to what AHS has brought us throughout the first two seasons, so it didn’t faze me much. Let’s get into the superlatives.
WTF
Spaulding can talk! - Yay!!! Wait, excitement short lived. Read on.
Zoe kills Spaulding - Just as Denis O'Hare gets some speaking lines, his character is killed. WTF!! I adore this actor, and although his character is downright creepy creeperton, Spaulding is still one of my favorites. Seriously, as soon as he started talking, and sounding just a past character of his, my favorite villain EVER from another series, I was smiling from head to toe. It lasted about a minute :( After being enchanted by his tongue to tell the truth, he, with so much restraint, wails “FIONNNNAAAAA”. And then Zoe kills him. Like I said in my recap, that bitch.
Madame LaLaurie killing Sally’s baby - Shiiiiiiiitttt. That woman was terrible. I could see where the anger and want for revenge would come from, considering your husband cheated, but killing the baby and using its blood for your bloody facial regimens.. Now that’s just despicable. And bragging about it to the baby’s young mom, in the most patronizing way…Ughhhh
The menage a trois- So I definitely saw the Madison/Kyle hook up coming. But a threesome?? Seriously?? Where did that even come from?? One minute Kyle was chained up, the next he’s learning by flash cards, then Zoe is plotting on killing Fiona, then actually killing Spaulding, and then it’s menage a trois time? Some horny kids they are. Generation Y people. :)
Queenie bringing Madame LaLaurie to Marie Laveau - I’ll admit, I didn’t think she would do it. Queenie always seems to have a heart, even when she tried her hardest to put on a tough front. Not like LaLaurie deserved someone to have a heart to spare her, but in no way did I think Queenie would even consider it. But she did and she delivers. Good for her. That’s what you get for being a deranged racist, even if the torture was hundred of years ago. Karma is a biatch.
