While it’s better than the original rumors that 1) she wasn’t returning for season 2 then 2) she was only returning for 2 episodes, buzzfeed has released that Prepon will be returning for FOUR episodes of OITNB only. While 4 is better than <4 - - I will miss her on the show as she is one of my favorite characters!
Also, we still have no Season 2 release date yet, however sources are saying around spring time. I can’t wait for more crazy eyes shenanigans, and of course the fact that Taryn Manning is slated for all 22 episodes should prove interesting for Piper considering the way Season 1 ended!
Can’t wait for OITNB’s return!!

Anyone who’s seen season 1 of OITNB and is in love with the show, waiting with baited breath for Spring 2014 for Season 2 knows that there’s been a lot floating around about Laura Prepon returning to the show or not. Recently, Laura Prepon did confirm her return, but was very vague about to what capacity, details, etc.., as were the rest of the cast when asked.
I checked out IMDB and - I’m not sure if this should be read into too much however - Laura Prepon’s slated for the first two episodes of season 2 and that’s it. So I compared her profile with that of the show’s main character Taylor Schilling (Piper) and she is slated for the entire season, as is Taryn Manning (sooo, Piper didn’t end up killing Pensatucky in the season finale…) and Danielle Brooks (Taystee).
My prediction, as much as this SUCKS, Laura Prepon and cast are being truthful about her returning for Season 2 however, it’s just going to be the first 2 episodes…… I hope this isn’t the case, Laura’s brilliant on the show and I think her departure will definitely be felt.
