I know, I’m behind on this week’s new (awesome) episode’s articles…..I’ve been sick… hopefully this will tide us all over until I get back in the groove…
10 hours and 15 minutes to be exact (at least - right at this moment haha…. now it’s probably 10 hours and 14 minutes.) But you get the idea - you’re all feeling the same anticipation and excitement as I am that the wait is so close to being over until tonight’s new episode us. Us Blacklisters can hardly contain ourselves… and knowing you feel the same is much of the reason I love you guys, you GET IT.

As I predicted months ago, Bryan Cranston won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series tonight over James Spader for The Blacklist.
I’ve gone into my opinion on this topic already, so I won’t again here but - if the credentials for winning the Globe were based solely on acting and did not take into consideration the fact that Breaking Bad is over now and The Blacklist is new - James Spader would be holding that award right now.

James Spader always has been, continues to be, and will remain one of Hollywood’s sexiest (in both looks and personality) men in history. This is not up for debate. :)
Day #26 What was your least liked episode on the Blacklist?
I love them all, so I suppose any time there’s a “last” episode just prior to any length of time longer than a week would be my least favorites ;)
Day #27 Share your favorite character entrance.
Well obviously Reddington’s entrance, walking into the FBI, announcing himself to the guard, and positioning himself on his knees with his hands behind his head before anyone even knew who he was was just epic. Also the way Anslo and his team infiltrated the FBI’s “secret location” was pretty exciting.
Day #28 Share the reason you are proud to be apart of the Blacklist fandom.
I’m a fan not only of brilliantly written characters (especially antagonists) but of equally as brilliant actors that do the writing justice. James Spader epitomizes an actor that knows how to deliver a line, hell even just an expression sometimes, with perfection. I’m proud to be a part of any group that appreciates a snarky 1-liner or a look in ways that fly over many people’s heads. The fellow Blacklist fans I know in fandom world (and IRL) really “get” the brilliant writing & execution in the show. Plus anyone who’s as obsessed with Spader as I am is all good in my book :)

OK I had never seen this before today and are you FREAKING. KIDDING. ME. Look how adorable this is!! Spader brings the guy who owns a cutlery shop he likes with him to the Ellen show because the guy is a big fan. And they have cake. And his reaction to Ellen asking about how his wellness plan is going is superb.
I have a hard time watching interviews with him, I am REALLY particular about it because I know how much he hates it and sometimes it shows even though he’s very gracious. He just sometimes looks like a cat in a suit and it’s hard to watch sympathy wise. But this… he’s the freaking master.

Ohhhhhhh the almighty James Spader in an interview with Ellen from 2012. He’s just someone I want to know - what a cool, interesting, hysterical, witty, genuine man. As much as I find him attractive in every way, I’d be happy just to sit down and have a long conversation in a park for hours one day while people watching.
Watch the video, there’s no way you can watch it and not just adore James Spader even more than you already do.

Here is James’s tattoo. At first it had JT inside the spade; Then the spade got filled in like this. Now it extends down his arm. I am not really sure what it is supposed to be in it’s current incarnation.

Baby Z’s 30 Day Blacklist Challenge Days 11-23:
#11 Who was your favorite Blacklist Criminal and why?
My favorite criminal on the show is and always will be Red, but I’m assuming this question is really asking who my favorite criminal is from HIS Blacklist and to that I say Gina Zanetakos all the way. She was BAD. ASS. (I will say that I have loved all the villain guest stars so far and I suspect that Gina will be replaced with Alan Alda as far as my favorite, but we haven’t gotten enough of him yet to make that call.)
#12 Name your favorite supporting character.
My opinion is that in a show staring James Spader as such a brilliant character, the entire remaining cast is considered “supporting characters.” As far as fairly regular supporting characters go, I’d have to say I love Dembe, and like I said in the “Days 1-10” article - I really WANT to love Lizzie, I just need her to be more kick ass before that happens.

#15 Do you think Raymond Reddington can be trusted, why?
I think this depends on who you’re asking. Can the FBI trust him? No, but he has told them flat out that they shouldn’t. Can Lizzie trust him? All signs point to absolutely. Should Tom? HELL NO and I can’t WAIT for that to be proven. Can we as viewers trust him? Honestly - - “trusting” Raymond Reddington isn’t even a factor for me, it’s part of the appeal of the show is the mystery surrounding him. I adore him (both the character and Spader) no matter if we can trust him or not.
#16 If you had to choose between being a member of Team Red or being apart of the Federal Agency, what would you choose?
My pseudonym on this website is Baby, as in Baby Firefly from Devil’s Rejects soooo - what do you think? ;) I’d eat tutti fuckin frutti with Red every day until the day I die.
#17 Share your favorite couple on The Blacklist and why?
Besides Lizzie and Tom, there really aren’t any couples that we know anything about that I can think of, right? And they are definitely NOT on my favorites list. If it turns out that Tom Keen and Gina Zanetakos really are lovers (and Tom’s really some bad ass as opposed to the boring and annoying character he’s been portrayed as so far) that’d be pretty cool. And I don’t want Red with anyone romantically so I won’t even toy with any of that line of thinking ;)

#19 What would you change about the show so far?
I do wish there weren’t SOO many unanswered questions. I understand leaving the main plotline mysteries open but I definitely don’t want “The Blacklist” to turn into “Lost” - - frustrating viewers with 147 new questions every episode and no answers. So perhaps just a little more confidence that everything’s going to be addressed and they’re not just kind of aimlessly writing seasons without solid/concrete plans for each question/mystery.

Oh man, there’s so many great 1-liners on this show, it was the entire reason I decided to do a “Kickass Reddington Quotes” article every week, and it’s hard to pick 1 favorite per episode let alone favorite overall so far!! I did not see Luli being killed off so abruptly. I wasn’t really a fan of hers so I probably wouldn’t have changed it, but it was unexpected for sure.

Day #23 Name your favorite friendship on the show
Probably Red & Dembe. I’m sure I’ll warm to Lizzie more as the show progresses & I’ll get behind her & Red’s relationship more than I currently am but I’m not really enjoying their dynamic all that much. There was a sense of warming up to it a bit towards the end of the last episode (her concern over his well being after being taken captive and their subsequent phone conversation.) I like the tit for tat between Red & Ressler too, although I don’t know that I’d necessarily call it a friendship lol…
